Our lives follow patterns of creation, dissipation and re-creation. Every beginning is an ending and every departure is an arrival. Accordingly, Go For Yourself From Your Home (Lech Lecha) is suggestive of its apparent opposite, Come Home To Yourself. Together let’s explore the wanderings of Abraham, as told in this week’s parsha, as a creation story and what it means for our own journeys of personal growth and self-discovery.
Ted Brownstein holds a Master’s Degree in the Hebrew Bible, is a founder of the Lake Worth Interfaith Network, is an ambassador for the Parliament of the World’s Religions and teaches classes in Hebrew Bible and Interfaith Dialogue online for the Wilmette Institute.
