Please take a moment to read an impassioned message from our new friend, Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum.  While her birthday has passed, the need persists. This is an opportunity for someone to do some major chesed (lovingkindness) for Rav Tiferet’s mother.  Blessings, Rabbi Marc and the staff of TAO

From Rav Tiferet:

It’s my birthday!!! I’ve never been big on my own birthday because I didn’t really do anything, I just happened to show up today. My mom really deserves the accolades. So, for my birthday, I’m asking for a gift for my mom… She needs a kidney. She is a totally selfless person who, when asked what she wants to live for (such a strange question they ask!), she says “to watch Galya grow.” So, as a gift to me, I’d appreciate it if you could share this post. I’m sure there’s someone out there who is willing to donate kidney, blood type not important anymore. Anyone interested can go to this link or reach out to me (rtiferet@gmail.com) for her identifying info. Thanks and have a beautiful day!

Thank you so much for having my Sierra Club members present to the TAO community on Wednesday and Friday. We enjoyed sharing information about our virtual outing, as well as the history of the Sierra Club, and about our mission to conserve and protect the South Florida environment. Our goal was to educate and encourage TAO members to understand how important conservation and protection of our natural resources are.

We hope that some TAO members would like to join our Broward Sierra Club, and become involved based on their interests – local politics, climate change, clean energy, environmental justice – and welcome you with open arms!  Here is the link to the Florida Chapter of Sierra Club, which includes Broward Sierra Club membership information, take action petitions, calendar of events, as well as the other Sierra Club events in South Florida. https://www.sierraclub.org/florida/broward.

Thank you again for allowing us to share our love and concern for planet Earth and the environment.
Warmest Regards, Adriene Barmann, Broward Sierra Club, Vice-Chair

Challah this week to Synthi Pinion and Larry Silverman on their engagement.

Another Challah – Rifka Maidan is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of her mother’s release
from the concentration camps.

TAO is excited to introduce our “Challah Your Name” recognition opportunity.  If there’s someone whom you admire, someone who needs a little special attention, or someone that you want to give a special shout out to for something nice they did or for just being kind and loving and there for you, you can shine the light on them at Shabbat Services and in our newsletter with a minimum $36 donation. With everything that goes on around us during this challenging time, we realize the importance of recognizing those we care about for a variety of reasons. If you want to help shine the light, just click here: CHALLAH and make your donation and contact the office or Renee or Nira to give the details.  Looking forward to Challahing your name in the near future.
