Tazria: Leviticus 12:1 – 13:59

The Lord describes to Moses and Aaron additional laws regarding those with skin afflictions, conditions and their healing.

The potential for healing is given through God to humankind.  This potential can create new worlds of experience, universes of existence that already exist in the Divine plan but are waiting for you to activate them.  Your task in healing is to bring the dimensions, worlds, and universes of God from potential into external realization.  Therefore, when you pray and effect healing, you are not changing what has been; you are only activating what is meant to be.  (Harmony, p. 196)

Tazria: Leviticus 12:1 – 13:59

Shabbat HaChodesh occurs on the shabbat preceding Rosh Chodesh Nisan.  Its special Maftir reading contains the verse about the first month of the calendar, “This shall be to you the head of the months.”

Remember that it is not possible ever to return to what was, for everything is in constant flux, waiting to be redeemed, redefined, and re-created.  (Nobility, p. 315)

Tazria: Leviticus 12:1 – 13:59

Meditation on Centering

Pause a moment and sit comfortably on a chair or on the floor.  Feel the breath moving into your body as you slowly inhale and exhale.  Feel the breath entering from the top of the head and flowing down through the neck and spine.  Allow the inhalation to flow evenly and freely.  Feel it flowing down the feet to the earth beneath you.  With each inhalation and exhalation feel the muscles and limbs of your body relax more and more.  Feel your body become weightless, filled with energy and light.  Feel your mind clear and your body totally centered as it floats on the breath and the breath floats on the light that moves throughout your body.  Now see the light emanating from your heart space, sending its radiance throughout your inner world and then emanating to all that is outside of you.  Bless God, the Divinity within, for centering and balancing you.  (Harmony, p. 174)

Metzora: Leviticus 14:1 – 15:33

Laws are given for ritual purification after the eruption of tzoras.

You are born of the God who is called “I Am That I Am.”  When you say positive statements using the words “I am,” such as “I am intelligent, I am worth it, I am beautiful, I am perfect as I am,” then God’s image and the sacredness of all of creation are affirmed in you.  (Creativity, p. 267)

Monday, April 8, 2019 – 3 Nisan 5779

Metzora: Leviticus 14:1 – 15:33

“The Kohein shall take some of the blood of the sin offering, and the priest shall put it on the ridge of the right ear of him who is being purified, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.”

Mystical Judaism is not a static set of rules and regulations; it is a gift of being in relationship with a community of people, a community of angelic forces, and a universe of God simultaneously.  (Creativity, p. 27)

Metzora: Leviticus 14:1 – 15:33

The priest makes atonement before the Lord for the one being cleansed.

Healers, teachers, leaders, spirit beings, literate souls, and illiterate souls all have much in common.  They can all create new environments of experience and effect positive, healing transformation in this world and in all worlds by simply forgiving and being forgiven.  (Compassion, p. 139)

Sunday, April 10, 2019 – 5 Nisan 5779

Metzora: Leviticus 14:1 – 15:33

The eruption of tzoras in the house requires emptying, removal of stones, scraping, plastering, and dismantling when necessary.

Begin to see the light in darkness, the gift in each problem, and positive opportunity in every negative situation.  (Method, p. 25)
