Thurs, March 5 – Wed, March 11, 2020

Thursday, March 5, 2020 – 9 Adar 5780

Tetzaveh: Exodus 27:20 – 30:10

For seven days, there are offerings to install the priests and sanctify the altar, so it will be “Kodesh Kadashim,” Holy of Holies.

Holiness lives in the realm of pure emanation.  It emanates from the subtleties that come in caring for the soul, in loving humanity, in being aware of the miracle in each moment, and in living fully with joy.  Imagine a world where everyone and everything acts in the awareness of their holiness.  (Intention, p. 53)

Friday, March 6, 2020 – 10 Adar 5780

Tetzaveh: Exodus 27:20 – 30:10

Moses consecrates Aaron and his sons to serve God as priests.

With your entrance into this world came a new light and a new way of being that never existed before.  You are an original, unique person who is in the world in this way for the very first time.  Your uniqueness is important to the transformation of the environment, to new ways of seeing, hearing, feeling, and being in life.  (Nobility, p. 296)

Saturday, March 7, 2020 – 11 Adar 5780 – Shabbat Zachor

Tetzaveh: Exodus 27:20 – 30:10

Shabbat Zachor occurs on the Shabbat preceding Purim.  Its special Maftir reading contains the command, “Remember what Amalek did to you on your way out of Egypt.”

Remember in the pauses throughout the day to rediscover your uniqueness and reactivate your light.  (Understanding, p. 102)

Sunday, March 8, 2020 – 12 Adar 5780

Ki Tissa: Exodus 30:11 – 34:35

God singles out Bezalel and Oholiab, having endowed them with divine skill, to craft all that God has commanded for the Tabernacle and its furnishings.

It is the creative person who steps aside from himself or herself and lets God through, who manifests otherworldly creations, celestial music, and spirit-filled stories.  Even an ordinary person can accomplish extraordinary things when he or she steps aside and lets God in.  (Glory, p. 241)

Monday, March 9, 2020 – 13 Adar 5780

Ki Tissa: Exodus 30:11 – 34:35

Meanwhile…The Israelites fear what has become of Moses on the mountain.

Expectations, fear, confusion, and chaos leave no room for anything else.  Only if you are empty can you reflect God’s image, echo God’s voice, and be filled with God’s light.  (Intention, p. 35)

Tuesday, March 10, 2020 – 14 Adar 5780 – Purim

Ki Tissa: Exodus 30:11 – 34:35

Purim is a merry (raucous) holiday, at which time we retell the story of Esther and her cousin Mordecai, and we celebrate the victory of the Jewish people of Persia over the evil prime minister Haman.

Did you know that what you put into the environment today will be available for centuries to come?  Create joy in your life today and you create vibrations of joy in the environment that will last an eternity.  (Glory, p. 252)

Wednesday, March 11, 2020 – 15 Adar 5780

Ki Tissa: Exodus 30:11 – 34:35

Aaron gathers up all their gold, and makes for them a god, a golden calf.  The next day, they offer sacrifices, eat, drink, and dance.

It is counter-productive to your growth and possibilities to try to hold on to certainty and contain your God image as anything less than infinite.  Even in certainty, there needs to be room for dynamism.  (Wisdom, p. 81)
