Vayera: Genesis 18:1 – 22:24

“Will You sweep away the innocent along with the guilty?  Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?”

At risk to himself, Abraham puts his own life on the line when he bargains with God to save the misguided people of Sodom and Gomorrah.  In walking with God, he walked in trust with abundance.  In serving God, your reward is connecting with God through selfless service to humanity and all the myriad creations of the earth.  (Compassion, p. 132)

Wednesday, October 24, 2018 – 15 Cheshvan 5779

Vayera: Genesis 18:1 – 22:24

The people of Sodom and Gomorrah are emblazoned with fire.

There are times in your life when you may feel the fire of passion and it feels wholesome and healthy.  At other times, the fire of passion consumes you and you get burned in the embers of obsessive and possessive attachment to money, love or power.  Misplaced passion exhausts your energy.  When God and godliness are your passion, you discover infinite energy.  (Intention, p. 45)
