It’s Unanimous! Our Gala was a hit!
From the venue to the food, topped off by the talent and generosity of Shimshi, our star illusionist, everything about this evening shone brightly. Not only did Shimshi wow us with us with his illusions, he graciously took pictures with each of us (Thank you David Rosen for your photography skills!) as we enjoyed a delicious meal, lovingly prepared for us by Lenore Nolan Ryan and her incredible staff. 
A huge thanks to the Team that put this together. Sherry Stern, our Event Chair, shone brightly through her outstanding leadership and follow-up. Dawn Warfle was like water… she flowed wherever she was needed and her work was always flawless. Every member of our committee worked hard to put this together. Roberta Cohen excelled at handling every detail about the food we ate and the tables we sat at. Cindy Singer managed the auction and raffle meticulously. Bobbie Ordet, did a fantastic job putting baskets together for Shimshi and the rest rooms. And how about those centerpieces! Thank you Dawn Warfle for your creativity. David Hall, Debbie Sehres, Judi Robaina, Maria Daszkal (for her beautiful piano music), Maxine Kamin, Mel Friedberg and Shashawna Foland – you were the engine that kept this machine moving forward. And I, Anne Goldberg, was honored to be your MC and editor of our Ad Journal.
And finally, our hugest kudos go to our new Executive Director, Rebekah Dickinson. Her energy, enthusiasm, knowledge and compassion created a can-do atmosphere for everyone involved. From set-up to break-down, this event flowed smoothly because of her leadership. Our community is grateful.
