This week’s Challah is from Debbie Sehres

I would like to do a “Challah” out for two special women in our TAO Community who are also
very dear to me on a personal level. Their upcoming birthdays are next week.

I have Rifka Maidan to thank for guiding me in the finer ways of being a “Greeter” when I become part of
that
team at the Duncan Center in Delray Beach many years ago.  What a pleasure it has been to assist
Rifka in welcoming members as well as many new faces over the years.  The recent addition of
“Temple Talk”
(formerly known as “Just Announcements” !! ), which Rifka cohosts along with
Anne Goldberg, is guaranteed
to bring a smile and a chuckle to all of us every Shabbat.

Roberta Cohen, my other “Challah” out person and Rifka have always been volunteer leaders with
numerous events for our TAO Community.

Roberta’s beautiful, generous and caring heart has always been evident to me from the very first time we
met (through TAO).  These qualities shine through in everything she does for our community including,
but not limited to, her outstanding volunteer work for All-Fed.

I am so blessed to count both of these ladies as my friends and I am very happy to make this donation
to TAO in honor of them both and their upcoming Birthdays!

TAO is excited to introduce our “Challah Your Name” recognition opportunity.  If there’s someone whom you admire, someone who needs a little special attention, or someone that you want to give a special shout out to for something nice they did or for just being kind and loving and there for you, you can shine the light on them at Shabbat Services and in our newsletter with a minimum $36 donation. With everything that goes on around us during this challenging time, we realize the importance of recognizing those we care about for a variety of reasons. If you want to help shine the light, just click here: CHALLAH and make your donation and contact the office or Renee or Nira to give the details.  Looking forward to Challahing your name in the near future.
