Thurs, January 4, 2018 – 17 Tevet 5778

Shemot: Exodus 1:1 – 6:1

God comes to Moses on Mt. Horeb, and speaks to him from the burning bush.  Moses is to go to Pharoah and free God’s people.  Moses asks for God’s name, and God says, “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh,” “I Am That I Am.”

You are born of the God who is called “I Am That I Am.”  When you say positive statements using the words “I am,” such as “I am intelligent, I am worth it, I am beautiful, I am perfect as I am,” then God’s image and the sacredness of all of creation are affirmed in you.  (Creativity, p. 267)

Shemot: Exodus 1:1 – 6:1

Moses says to the Lord, “I am not a man of words….I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.”

Loving yourself means coming face-to-face with your own truth, walking through that truth, and walking through your fears.  At times of increased turmoil and confusion, it means allowing yourself to question the very myths and beliefs that sustain you.  (Creativity, p. 272)

Sat, January 6, 2018 — 19 Tevet 5778

Shemot: Exodus 1:1 – 6:1

Moses’ brother, Aaron, becomes spokesman to Pharaoh.

Your decisions are right for you when they access your unique talents and serve goodness in the world.  (Success, p. 211)

Sun, January 7, 2018 — 20 Tevet 5778

Vaera: Exodus 6:2 – 9:35

God hears the cry of the Israelites in bondage and remembers the covenant.

The greatest freedom of all is to realize that you no longer need to live imprisoned by expectations and self-imposed limitations, for in that freedom you recognize your own divine nature, and the possibility of being everything.  (Strength, p. 164)

Mon, January 8, 2018 — 21 Tevet 5778

Vaera: Exodus 6:2 – 9:35

God reveals God’s plan to bring the children of Israel out from the burdens of slavery, to take them as God’s people, and to be for them “Elohim.”

Now is the time for illuminating your intention, asserting your wisdom, and bringing new concepts into your life in practical and meaningful ways.  (Understanding, p. 87)

Tues January 9, 2018 — 22 Tevet 5778

Vaera: Exodus 6:2 – 9:35

Moses tells B’nai Yisrael that God will rescue them from their slavery, but they will not listen.

Notice where your sense of self is today.  Is it in the insecurity, looking for outside sources to build a secure, stable structure around you?  Or is it in the freedom to be self-responsible and empowered to live in the creative, dynamic flow of life?  The certainty that you seek can be found only in the nothingness of God and in the flexibility to move as life moves and to change as life changes.  (Wisdom, p. 83)

Wed, January 10, 2018 — 23 Tevet 5778

Vaera: Exodus 6:2 – 9:35

Moses and Aaron tell Pharaoh.  Thus says the Lord, “Let my people go!”

Gain the courage to take risks and to access your own sacred power, while empowering others to do the same.  (Method, p. 25)
