Thursday, June 7, 2018 – 24 Sivan 5778

Shelach: Numbers 13:1 – 15:41

The entire congregation says, “If only we had died in Egypt, or if only we might die in this wilderness!”

How often people bemoan their fate yet do not endeavor to utilize the strength within themselves to make their lives better.  Looking around you today, you will probably find it easy to recognize several people who remain locked within an impoverished perception of themselves.  Are you one of them?  (Nobility, p. 297)

Friday, June 8, 2018 – 25 Sivan 5778

Shelach: Numbers 13:1 – 15:41

And Joshua, son of Nun, and Caleb, son of Jepunneh, urge the people to have no fear, and let the Lord be with them.

Courage is the ability to look within, touch your heart, and face yourself.  It is the courage to open the passageways of your heart and walk through your fears, regardless of the pain, disappointment, or loss.  It is the courage to see yourself through the varied lenses of perception, and to love what you see.  (Harmony, p. 183)

Saturday, June 9, 2018 – 26 Sivan 5778

Shelach: Numbers 13:1 – 15:41

The Israelites spurn God, are forbidden from entering the Promised Land, and are sent wandering in the wilderness for forty years.

When you are at midlife or at a midpoint, there is always a rite of passage.  The ritual happens in the center of your being, as you recognize where you’ve been and accept where you are.  There is no rushing to where you will go next.  (Harmony, p. 177)

Sunday, June 10, 2018 – 27 Sivan 5778

Korach: Numbers 16:1 – 18:32

Korach rises up against Moses and Aaron, declaring that all of Israel is holy, and protesting their elevated status before the Lord.

There are times when you may measure yourself in comparison to another and, in doing so, diminish your own true potential.  (Understanding, p. 102)

Monday, June 11, 2018 – 28 Sivan 5778

Korach: Numbers 16:1 – 18:32

Moses tells Korach and his company that God will reveal who is holy unto God, and who is chosen.

When you choose to invite God into your life, you cleave to the holiest aspects of yourself and live a divine, miraculous existence.  In the place where you are most open and life affirming, recognize that you and God are one.  (Creativity, p. 286)

Tuesday, June 12, 2018 – 29 Sivan 5778

Korach: Numbers 16:1 – 18:32

Moses tells the people that it was not in his own heart or mind to do what he had done, but that God had sent him.

Real strength is in disciplining yourself to be prepared, then letting go and letting God take over.  (Strength, p. 149)

Wednesday, June 13, 2018 – 30 Sivan 5778

Korach: Numbers 16:1 – 18:32

And the earth opens and swallows up Korach and his household, and a fire consumes all those who followed him.

Words and actions are very powerful.  They can devastate, or they can heal.  (Glory, p. 258)
